Recent rumours suggested that after securing Higuain, Arsenalai??i??s next target is the Manchester United forward. The Gunners can afford his wage and it is believed that they are prepared to offer him a A?175,000 a week contract. It is believed that Rooney will have one final meeting with new manager David Moyes before deciding his future at the club.
Meanwhile, Jack Wilshere is delighted at the fact that Arsenal have been linked with such world class players. Bayer Leverkusen rejects opening bid for Lars Bender
According to reports in Germany, Arsenal have failed with an opening bid of ai??i??23million for German international Lars Bender. The Leverkusen midfielder has been a key performer for the German side for the past three seasons and it was known in advance that they wonai??i??t let go of their prized asset so easily.
But Bender could be the perfect player for Arsenal. The Gunners currently lack a proper defensive midfielder in the squad and Bender fits in that role perfectly. He in fact has been one of the best defensive midfielders in the past two seasons in Europe and has been the lynchpin of this Leverkusen side which punched above their weights and finished third in the league last season.

“It’s absolutely normal that there has been interest in him because he is a top-level player who is improving.
