Paul Lambert has developed quite a reputation since driving his team to top flight football. Having taken over Norwich City three years ago, his style, his persona and his nous of the game on the whole has trickled into each and every player in his team, one could say.
If handling the Premier League seems like a big ask to any club, then gaining back-to-back promotions from League One is nothing short of a herculean effort. Well, Lambert and Norwich City are here now and are looking safe to continue with another spell in the Premier League. The Canaries have been playing well at home this season, something that Lambert saw as a strong advantage to ensure the clubai??i??s survival.

The points have been well distributed for Norwich between home and away but with the season coming to an end, Lambert will be hoping for his team to finish on a high. Having suffered back-to-back defeats at the hands of Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers, Norwich will be looking to get off the gravel with a win against a struggling Liverpool side. Three points against the Reds on Saturday will bring Norwich level with Kenny Dalglishai??i??s team with only the goal difference serving as grounds of separation.
There was a time when Liverpool were seen as a team of two shades ai??i?? one which can take on any team in the Champions League and one which struggles to maintain that same form in the Premier League. Now one of those two shades exist and no points for guessing which one that is! The Reds have found it hard to cope with their League competition this season but on the contrary, have looked in sublime form when competing in the other domestic competitions.
With just one home win in 2012, the Reds have lost out on a lot of ground that couldai??i??ve kept them in the running for the top four. Although it might be a little too late, everybody at the club including captain Steven Gerrard has understood and stressed on the need for improvement in the League so they can finish this season on a high. Dalglish is a man waiting to see the curtains drop on this season so he can get on with his homework and do what is required to prepare his team better for the next campaign. Paul Lambert has been forced to deal with absence of a couple of key players this season ai??i?? Marc Tierney and Daniel Ayala. Both defenders have been ruled out for the rest of the season; Tierney with a groin injury and the former Liverpool player, Ayala, has been ruled out till pre-season primarily due to knee injuries.
Zak Whitbread is still biding his time at the sidelines due to a calf strain which has allowed the likes of Elliot Ward, Adam Drury and Ryan Bennett come in charge of the defensive line for Norwich. The trio has performed well so far and the manager will be sure of prepping them up for the likes of Suarez and Carroll this weekend.
Lambert is no shy flower when it comes to getting behind his players and urging them to bring out their best from the moment the whistle is blown. This is the style even Norwich have grown into ai??i?? bold, attacking football from the beginning. Liverpoolai??i??s stuttering form will only spur Norwich to be one of the remaining teams to deliver the killer blow to give an ugly end to the Redsai??i?? season.

The latest news coming from the Liverpool dressing room is that Charlie Adam has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to his knee injury. Adam started off the season with promise but slowly ran out of steam in mid-season. Right now, the Liverpool Academy product Jay Spearing will be taking over the wheels in midfield instead of the injured Scotsman.
The good news for Liverpool is that Steven Gerrard will be making a return to the first team against Norwich after sitting out of the game against West Bromwich Albion last week. The midfielder had a slight hamstring problem and Kenny wasnai??i??t particularly keen on fielding him against the Baggies.
With Gerrard returning to the starting lineup, Liverpool are likely to go back to fielding Henderson and Downing on either flanks with Suarez and Carroll upfront. Andy Carroll has just started to scratch the surface of fine form in the past few games for the club which means giving him more game-time alongside Suarez is the right way to get the best out of the partnership.
The Uruguayan has spoken of his developing relationship with the Geordie and every Liverpool fan is now only waiting to see the words turn into goals. Back in defense, Agger and Johnson are likely to come back to their incumbencies after sitting out due to injuries through much of April.

As disheartening as it may sound, it is time for Steven Gerrard to lose his ai???one-man-showai??i?? tag. Yet, there is more Liverpool in him than in any other current squad player. Age may not be on his side any more but Gerrard has always turned his thoughts into actions on the pitch. With Liverpool losing grip in the League, his presence on the pitch now will go a long way in helping the rest of the lads finish this season by putting a formidable performance.

Norwich drew the game but were the better team at the end of the day. Paul Lambert surely will remember that night and if not anything, will be expecting more from his team on Saturday. Kenny can only try his best with what heai??i??s got but with the fact that Liverpool are still a growing unit, he may have to live with a few upsets.
