Arsenal and Tottenham have stepped up their efforts as they look to beat Chelsea to the signature of Algerian gem Ibrahim Maza.
According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have stepped up their interest in Bayer Leverkusen’s Ibrahim Maza, with both clubs assessing the 20-year-old attacking midfielder. Chelsea are also monitoring the Algerian international, adding to a growing list of English clubs tracking the highly-rated talent.
Since joining Leverkusen from Hertha BSC in summer 2025, Maza has contributed 15 goals in 49 appearances for the German club. He has bagged a goal and two assists in five outings this season, underlining the attacking quality that has attracted attention from Premier League scouts.
Maza has been particularly impressive for Algeria during the ongoing international break, scoring and providing an assist in their 3-1 win over Zambia in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying.
His technical ability and versatility make him an appealing option for clubs seeking greater creativity in attacking midfield areas. Maza is particularly comfortable operating in the half-spaces, where he can receive possession between the lines, turn and run at the defenders.
