Chelsea eyeing Francisco Conceicao as Pedro Neto replacement

Chelsea may look to sign 23-year-old Portuguese international Francisco Conceicao from Serie A club Juventus this summer.

According to a report by Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, the rampant speculation surrounding Pedro Neto’s long-term future has left Chelsea in a frenzy in the market. The Blues are keen on bolstering their offensive unit by signing a wide attacker in the final days of the ongoing transfer window, and they have set their sights on the 23-year-old Juventus winger.

Per Gazzetta dello Sport, Jorge Mendes is pulling the strings in the market to take Pedro Neto to Al-Hilal and Conceicao to Chelsea. The report suggests that the West London club may soon submit a bid worth €30 million to sign the player, with Juventus demanding around €40 million to part ways with him.

Francisco Conceicao and his career so far

Francisco Conceicao has made singificant progress since joining Juventus from FC Porto. The Bianconeri initially signed the 23-year-old on loan for the 2024/25 season before completing a permanent move last summer. While the young winger has not produced the desired output, he has become a pivotal figure under Luciano Spalletti.

The Portuguese international managed only four goals and five assists in 42 appearances across all competitions in the 2025/26 season. However, Conceicao’s popularity in the market remains unaffected, with Chelsea among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.

Will Conceicao move to the Premier League this summer?

Several other Premier League clubs have also shown interest in Francisco Conceicao, with Liverpool and Manchester United also mulling over a move lately. However, Chelsea may have a clear run at the Juventus winger; Liverpool’s focus is currently on Bradley Barcola, Ibrahim Mbaye, and Yankuba Minteh, while Manchester United may not pursue a winger if Marcus Rashford stays.

Pedro Neto’s relentless links with Al-Hilal have left Chelsea in a spot of bother, as they have only two other wingers in their squad. Conceicao has thus emerged as a viable target, and despite his underwhelming output, the former FC Porto winger has the quality to thrive in the Premier League due to his nimble footwork and pacy outlet.

However, Chelsea’s potential opening bid of around €30 million will not be enough to sign the Portuguese international, and they must bridge the gap to Juventus’s valuation to secure his services in the coming days.
