Premier League move on the horizon?
Liverpool may dip into the market for a wide attacker in the winter transfer window amid uncertainties surrounding Mohamed Salah’s long-term future. The veteran Egyptian attacker’s bombshell interview has left his Liverpool career in an unknown territory. As for Manchester United, Ruben Amorim wants more firepower in the final third.
While Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha have been excellent for Manchester United, they can do with more offensive options for the long run. Meanwhile, Maghnes Akliouche has been on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar for a long time. The continued interest makes sense, as the Lilywhites are eager to bolster their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker in the coming weeks.
Additionally, Richarlison faces an uncertain future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. So, Akliouche has emerged as a viable target for Tottenham. As for Newcastle United, Anthony Elanga has struggled to make his mark since arriving from Nottingham Forest this past summer. So, Newcastle United may dip into the market for a versatile attacker in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, AS Monaco may attempt to fund January moves by selling Akliouche, slapping a price tag of €60-65 million. While the asking price appears excessive, the 23-year-old Frenchman has the potential to live up to the billing in the coming decade. However, it is unclear if Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United are ready to pay €60-65 million to land the French international.
