Manchester City rival Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea in Yan Diomande race

Manchester City are all set to battle Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea in their pursuit of RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande.

Yan Diomande has had a sensational rise since joining RB Leipzig. He has been one of their standout performers in the ongoing campaign, and clubs from across Europe have taken note. Given the increasing interest in his services, soon there could be a bidding war for him.

According to a report from CaughtOffside, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea are all keen on his signature, and have been scouting him for weeks now. The Premier League giants could battle it out for his signature.

Following an impressive short spell at CD Leganés, Diomande joined Leipzig last summer. The 19-year-old winger has been involved in 15 matches for the German club and has bagged seven goals and four assists.

While he prefers playing out wide on the left, the teenager is equally effective on the right. He has made quite a name for himself with his blistering pace and composure beyond his years. People at the German club consider him a generational talent.

Premier League giants to battle for Diomande

Scouts from multiple clubs across Europe have been keeping tabs on him this season. Representatives from Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City have all been spotted on the stands watching the teenager in action.

They are quite impressed with his progress and could soon make a move. Chelsea have been tracking him since his time in Spain, and would love to make him a part of their project. Arsenal seek more depth on the flanks and consider Diomande an ideal long-term option.

As far as Liverpool and City are concerned, they have stepped up their scouting activity in the recent past and have watched him in action on multiple occasions since October. City seem to be the most serious suitor at this point.

Leipzig won’t sell him easily

While Pep Guardiola’s team are ready to battle other top clubs, they won’t find it easy to strike a deal with Leipzig. The German club do not have any intentions of selling him anytime soon.

Since his contract runs until 2030 and there is no release clause, Leipzig are in complete control of his future. They will certainly have the upper hand in negotiations. With him earning just €750,000 per year, the Bundesliga giants are looking to secure his long-term future and reward him for his work with a lucrative new deal.

Leipzig won’t want to sell him anytime soon, but if they do, they will want between €80 million and €100 million, something similar to what they got for Josko Gvardiol and Benjamin Sesko.
