Jarrod Bowen will reportedly leave West Ham United if they suffer relegation from the Premier League in the 2025/26 season, thus providing Liverpool a window of opportunity.
According to a report by Football Insider, Jarrod Bowen is the subject of interest from Liverpool. The Reds are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker next year amid uncertainties surrounding Mohamed Salah’s long-term future. So, the 28-year-old West Ham United forward has emerged as a target for the Merseyside outfit.
While recent reports have claimed that the Hammers will not entertain bids to part ways with their club captain anytime soon, a move may be possible next summer. The Englishman will leave West Ham if they suffer relegation from the Premier League at the end of the 2025/26 season. Bowen may also have “one eye on the possibility of playing Champions League football” before he runs out of time.
Jarrod Bowen and his West Ham United career so far
Jarrod Bowen has been one of the best players in the Premier League since joining West Ham United from Hull City in a deal worth over £20 million in January 2020. The Leominster native spent his formative years under the radar but graduated from the youth division at Hull City. The 28-year-old rose in prominence during his spell with Hull City before West Ham signed him nearly half a dozen years ago.
Bowen hit the ground running in the Premier League, and he has been a talismanic figure for West Ham. The English international has made 250 appearances thus far for West Ham, amassing 77 goals and 53 assists. Meanwhile, his exploits for the East London club have not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs. Liverpool will be among the prospective suitors vying for his signature next year.
Move across the Premier League on the cards?
Jarrod Bowen has been on Liverpool’s radar for a long time. The continued interest makes sense, as Mohamed Salah’s long-term future at Anfield is uncertain. The Egyptian international is approaching the twilight of his career, and he has shown signs of age catching up with him this season.
Additionally, Arne Slot has only three wide attackers in his squad, with Rio Ngumoha being too young to become a first-choice starter. So, Bowen has emerged as a viable target for Liverpool, and the Reds may have now received a window of opportunity to sign the 28-year-old English international next summer.
While Bowen is happy and content at West Ham United, he will push for a departure next summer if the Hammers suffer relegation from the Premier League at the end of the 2025/26 season. So, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the Englishman.
