Chelsea line up Ardon Jashari move, player wants AC Milan move

Chelsea open to loan-to-sell exit for Nicolas Jackson amid Aston Villa, Newcastle United links.

Chelsea and AC Milan are reportedly interested in signing 23-year-old Swiss international Ardon Jashari from Club Brugge in the summer transfer window.

According to an update by reputed Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Ardon Jashari is the subject of interest from Chelsea. The Blues are keen on reinforcing their first-team squad by signing a holding midfielder in the summer transfer window. So, the 23-year-old Club Brugge mainstay has emerged as a target for the West London outfit.

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup winners have “launched the move” to sign the Cham native, and they plan to submit an offer to Club Brugge. However, Jashari only wants to join AC Milan in the summer transfer window, with the Rossoneri pushing for his signature.

Ardon Jashari and his rise in Belgium

Ardon Jashari has made considerable progress since joining Club Brugge from FC Luzern last summer. The 22-year-old did not take long to make his mark, establishing himself as a pivotal figure for the Belgian outfit from the word go. The youngster was so impressive that he won the Jupiler Pro League Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards for the 2024/25 campaign.

The Swiss international has turned out 52 times thus far for Club Brugge while contributing to ten goals by finding the back of the net four times and providing six assists. Meanwhile, Jashari’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe. Chelsea will be among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.

London calling?

Chelsea’s interest in Ardon Jashari is perplexing, particularly if Andrey Santos remains at the West London club beyond the summer transfer window. Nevertheless, the Blues’ infamous hoarding policy has shown no signs of ending, as has been clear with their move for Xavi Simons. So, Jashari has emerged as a target for Chelsea.

The FIFA Club World Cup winners want to steal a march on AC Milan for Jashari’s signature, and they are ready to approach Club Brugge with a bid. However, the young midfielder only wishes to join AC Milan in the summer transfer window, with the Rossoneri pushing for his signature.

With the Serie A giants working aggressively to improve their squad before the 2025/26 season begins, they are keen on signing Jashari in the coming weeks. So, Chelsea must look elsewhere for a holding midfielder in the summer transfer window.
