Chelsea offer Tosin Adarabioyo, Nicolas Jackson in deal to sign Morgan Rogers

Chelsea will reportedly look to sign 23-year-old English international Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa in a part-exchange deal in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Football Insider, Morgan Rogers is the subject of interest from Chelsea. The Blues are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 23-year-old Aston Villa creative genius has emerged as a target for the West London outfit.

The West Midlands club would prefer to recoup around £100 million from the Englishman’s sale, even though they are reluctant to part ways with the highly-rated playmaker. However, Chelsea will aim to sweeten the deal after offering Tosin Adarabioyo and Nicolas Jackson, plus cash, to Aston Villa.

The rapid rise of Morgan Rogers

Morgan Rogers has established himself as one of the most exciting players in the Premier League since joining Aston Villa from Middlesbrough in February 2024. The move did not raise any eyebrows, but the 23-year-old has gone from strength to strength in the last 18 months at Villa Park.

Rogers has turned out over 50 times thus far for Aston Villa while chipping in with 17 goals and 16 assists. Meanwhile, the 23-year-old playmaker has piqued the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe with his exploits for the West Midlands outfit, with Chelsea among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.

London calling?

Chelsea’s interest in Morgan Rogers is understandable. The Blues are scouring the market for a versatile attacker this summer as Enzo Maresca aims to add more firepower to his offensive unit’s output. So, Rogers has emerged as a viable target, with Chelsea keen on securing his services in the summer transfer window.

Widespread reports have pointed to Aston Villa being desperate to keep Rogers at the West Midlands club beyond the summer transfer window. However, they will reluctantly part ways with the 23-year-old Englishman if they receive £100 million. Meanwhile, Chelsea will aim to sweeten the pot after offering Tosin Adarabioyo and Nicolas Jackson, plus cash, in the deal to sign Rogers.

It is unclear if a player-plus-cash offer can convince Aston Villa to sell Rogers to Chelsea in the summer transfer window. Chelsea will hope the proposal seals the deal in the coming weeks as they aim to land the £100 million-rated English international.
