Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are all keen on Ousmane Dembele, with PSG likely to flex their power in keeping the forward.
According to Caught Offside, a host of Premier League sides are interested in exploring a move for Ousmane Dembele. The in-form PSG forward has been in the best form of his career, as a move to England might be something he could be tempted with, although the Parisians are ready to put up a fight to keep him.
Ousmane Dembele was always considered a top talent in world football right from a young age. He did get big moves early on, first to Borussia Dortmund then a massive transfer to Barcelona. He did leave the Catalans in acrimonious circumstances as PSG took him back to France, where he has so far been a success.
Dembele has been criticised for his inconsistent form in front of goal for his entire career, although he has come out of the perception of just being a tricky winger. This season, Dembele has 40 goals and assists for PSG, as he has also shown versatility in his game as Luis Enrique has often used him centrally as well as on the right wing.
Meanwhile, his solid performances for PSG have attracted the big interest of top Premier League clubs. Arsenal had been keen last summer, but there was no chance to prise him away from Paris as the Ligue 1 champions had only lost Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer. The Gunners are looking at Nico Williams among other attacking targets, as they are well covered on the right side.
However, the idea of signing Dembele as an unorthodox centre-forward could be on the cards. PSG’s demands might ultimately scupper any plans, as the Gunners might back away. Chelsea were also keen last summer and could make a move in the close season, although they must qualify for the Champions League to stand the slightest chance to sign him.
PSG to offer Ousmane Dembele a new deal
There was credible interest from Liverpool, although that might have been before Mohamed Salah committed his future with the club. Manchester United are on the same boat as Chelsea, as they may need Champions League football to attract talents like Dembele. The Red Devils are looking at other attacking targets ahead of the summer, with the likes of Matheus Cunha seen as a viable target.
The 40 G/A PSG star is currently happy with life in Paris, and the Ligue 1 giants are in line to offer him a new deal to ward off suitors. The idea of joining a top Premier League side might be enticing for Dembele, although the Parisians are likely to flex their muscles and keep hold of their star attacker beyond the summer.
