Chelsea are considering a massive exchange deal with Inter Milan to sign German defender Yann Bisseck in the summer window.
According to a report by Inter Live, Chelsea are ready to offer one of three players in an exchange deal for Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck. The German international has been a key part of Simone Inzaghi’s side, and the Nerazzurri boss might have a say on his place in the team going ahead.
Yann Bisseck joined Inter Milan from Danish side Aarhus FC back in the summer of 2023, and he has looked like a strong addition to Simone Inzaghi’s side. Winning the Scudetto in his first season, the German defender has grown steadily in the team to become a trusted defender at the back for the manager.
The youngster suits perfectly well in that back three, and he is capable of playing on either side or centrally. He does have a lot of interest in the market, as many teams were indeed exploring a January deal for the defender. The report claims Inter Milan would demand at least €40 million to sell him, and a sale of that magnitude will boost their financial health to a greater degree.
There are still question marks about whether Inter Milan are planning to put Yann Bisseck on the market, as the report states Inzaghi might have a say in the decision. The story also focuses on Chelsea scouts being present to watch the €40 million-rated defender in action against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Chelsea are reportedly willing to offer one of three players from their squad to prise Inter Milan into selling them Bisseck. Trevoh Chalobah, Benoit Badiashile and young emerging star Josh Acheampong are all mentioned as possible options that the Blues are ready to part ways with.
Chelsea to offer one of three players for Yann Bisseck
Inter Milan have scouted Acheampong before and could hold a genuine interest in the wonderkid, while they might have held loose admiration for Chalobah in the past as well. They already have a sought-after left-footed defender in Alessandro Bastoni, so the idea of signing Badiashile could be ruled out for the time being.
Chelsea are willing to sell Chalobah, although there are doubts whether Inter Milan want any of those players, especially if it reduces the possibility of achieving a big fee for Bisseck. There is a possibility they could sell the €40 million-rated defender in the summer to improve their finances, although the chances of Chelsea signing him based on offering one of those players seem remote.
