Everton retain interest in Tom Fellows

Tom Fellows remains a target for Everton after the Toffees recently mulled over signing the 21-year-old English wide player from EFL Championship club West Bromwich Albion.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Tom Fellows remains the subject of interest from Everton. The Toffees have been scouring the market for a wide player for several weeks and wanted to land the West Bromwich Albion mainstay in the winter transfer window. However, the youngster is still on the Merseyside club’s wishlist ahead of the summer.

Who is Tom Fellows?

Tom Fellows has established himself as one of the best young prospects in the EFL Championship since breaking into the first-team squad at West Bromwich Albion. A native of Solihull, the Englishman has been with the Baggies for over a decade and progressed through the ranks at the club before making his senior bow as an 18-year-old in August 2021.

A loan stint with Crawley Town sped up the youngster’s progress, and he has been a regular for West Brom since the 2023/24 season. The 21-year-old has contributed to 12 goals in 31 outings across all competitions by finding the back of the net twice and providing ten assists.

The English wide player has the most assists in the EFL Championship this season, and his exploits have piqued the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe. Everton will be one of his prospective suitors in the summer transfer window.

Premier League adventure beckons this summer?

Tom Fellows has been on Everton’s radar for a long time. The Merseyside outfit’s continued interest in the highly-rated West Brom wide player is understandable, considering Jack Harrison has blown hot and cold since returning to Goodison Park from Leeds United last summer.

So, it is hardly surprising that Everton mulled over signing the 21-year-old Englishman in the winter transfer window. The youngster can become a long-term solution on the right flank for Everton, becoming the ideal foil for the in-form duo of Iliman Ndiaye and Abdoulaye Doucoure.

However, Everton will face stiff competition from Brighton & Hove Albion for the English wide player. So, it will be interesting to see what the future has in store for the West Bromwich Albion prospect heading into the summer transfer window.
