European giants Chelsea, Manchester City and Barcelona are after the signature of Crystal Palace star Daniel Munoz.
According to a report from Antena2, Chelsea, Manchester City and Barcelona are all interested in acquiring the services of Daniel Munoz who has made quite a name for himself with his consistent performances for Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
Munoz joined the Eagles at the start of 2024 from KRC Genk and he hasn’t looked back since. The 28-year-old has established himself as a key figure in the team in no time. After an impressive start to life in London during the second half of last season, the Colombian international has carried his form into the ongoing campaign.
He has been involved in a total of 27 matches and has contributed towards six goals. He has started in 22 out of his 23 league appearances which makes his importance in their team quite clear. His versatility has come in quite handy as he can feature as a full-back, a wing-back as well as in central defence.
Munoz could soon join a European giant
His consistent performances haven’t gone unnoticed as multiple top clubs are keen on prising him away from Crystal Palace. Manchester City, Chelsea and Barcelona have all taken note of his performances and they were keen on signing him during the recently concluded winter window.
While they might not have succeeded this time out, the big clubs will most likely return his signature in the upcoming transfer window. Despite interest from some of the biggest clubs, Munoz was in no rush to decide his future. He wanted to wait until the next summer window to make a decision on his next club.
City see him as an ideal replacement of Kyle Walker who left the club to join AC Milan in January. Meanwhile, Chelsea are looking to solidify their back line and they feel Munoz’s ability to contribute towards both ends of the pitch could come in handy.
As far as Barcelona are concerned, they believe he can bring an end to their problems at right-back. Jules Kounde is currently their preferred right-back but he is someone who prefers playing centrally. It will be interesting to see which of the three clubs return for him in the summer.
