Manchester United to enlist help from Miguel Pinho to sign Goncalo Inacio

Manchester United could use Miguel Pinho’s help in brokering a deal for Goncalo Inacio from Sporting CP in the summer.

According to A Bola via Sport Witness, Manchester United are set to use Miguel Pinho’s help to facilitate a deal for defender Goncalo Inacio. Sporting has told the football agent to have conversations with suitors, as the Portuguese side is seemingly open to selling the €60 million-rated defender.

Manchester United keen on Goncalo Inacio

Manchester United has had good relations with Sporting CP for over twenty years now. Their business dealings, probably highlighted by the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, have blossomed over the years as players like Nani, Marcos Rojo, and Bruno Fernandes all made the move from Sporting to Old Trafford.

Sporting CP has tasked football agent Miguel Pinho to have conversations with suitors for Goncalo Inacio. The agent also happens to represent Bruno Fernandes, as Manchester United are likely to take his help in brokering a deal for the defender in the coming period.

Inacio’s participation with Portugal at the Euros could delay any potential transfer during the summer, but Manchester United have already made exploratory contacts to sign him. Whether Erik ten Hag stays at Old Trafford, they might want a left-sided defender with versatile qualities to play left-back.

Sporting are not ready to sell him below the € 60 million release clause, although Manchester United plans on offering a deal including add-ons that might raise the final amount to that sum. Whether the Portuguese side agrees to that is another question, as they will likely consider the competition for the €60 million-rated defender a significant factor in determining their final price.

Manchester United faces competition for Inacio

Manchester United might prove themselves as an attractive destination for any player in the world, let alone Inacio, but they do face intense competition from Liverpool. Arne Slot wants the Portuguese defender this summer, and that might complicate the Red Devils’ pursuit.

Overall, Inacio could attract more interest, with Chelsea also happening to show admiration for the left-sided star. Sporting will want to maximise these links to different clubs and get suitors close to their €60 million asking price.
