Crystal Palace and Everton are ready to battle it out for the signature of Chelsea striker Armando Broja who is open to a move to the Middle East.
According to Ben Jacobs, Armando Broja is expected to leave Chelsea to end this summer. The Albanian international is expected to be on the move in the upcoming transfer window, and there is interest in his services from Crystal Palace and Everton.
Broja has come up the ranks at the London club. He has been a part of their first team setup since the summer of 2022 but has only had limited chances over the years. The youngster was expected to have an extended run in the first team during the 2023/24 season, and he did get his chances in the first half of the campaign.
Armando Broja to leave Chelsea
The Albanian prospect failed to fire and was sent out on loan to Fulham towards the end of the winter window for the remainder of the season. The move to Craven Cottage has done him no good as he has only had limited minutes. He is all set to return to his parent club ahead of next season. But, Armando Broja might not have a future at Chelsea.
The Blues want to bring in a new world-class striker and have been working hard to make things happen. While the 22-year-old surely has the potential, the Blues seem to have made a decision regarding his future. They are ready to sanction his departure in the summer for the right price.
Crystal Palace and Everton keen on Broja
Crystal Palace and Everton are two Premier League outfits that would love to have the Albanian striker in their squad. The Eagles have quality options on the flanks as well as in the number 10 position, but they do not have enough firepower up top and Broja’s arrival could be of great help to them.
As far as the Merseyside club are concerned, they do have quality number nine in Dominic Calvert-Lewin. But he has struggled with injuries in recent years and has not been able to bring the best out of him. As a result, they want someone who can support him and Armando Broja is on their wishlist.
Broja to move to Saudi Arabia?
While both English clubs want to sign him, the 22-year-old is open to a move to the Middle East this early in his career. Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Shabab have looked at him in the past and they could reignite their interest in him.
The interested clubs are considering making an offer of around £25 million for the Albanian international, who was valued at around £50 million by Chelsea before his loan spell at Fulham.
