Jarrod Bowen wants West Ham United stay amid Newcastle United links

Jarrod Bowen has no plans to leave West Ham United in the summer amid Newcastle United links, as he is happy in London.

According to Daily Mirror, Jarrod Bowen is unlikely to leave West Ham United to join Newcastle United, as he is perfectly settled at the London Stadium. The 27-year-old attacker recently signed a new long-term deal, which would make it extremely difficult for the Magpies or any other side to try and sign him in the summer.

Jarrod Bowen to stay at West Ham United?

Jarrod Bowen has been on the radars of many top clubs, with many firmly believing he would leave West Ham and pursue his dream of playing in the Champions League. He was widely expected to follow Declan Rice out of the club, albeit a year later, but instead ended up signing a new long-term deal until 2030 to stay at the London Stadium.

It is understood that the 27-year-old’s family and extended family are delighted with life in the English capital. He will spearhead the Hammers’ project under Julen Lopetegui and, hence, has no interest in leaving the club anytime soon.

Liverpool were interested in the winger, as they saw Bowen as one of the prime candidates to replace Mohamed Salah should the Egyptian leave the club for a Saudi adventure. With the new contract in place, signing the 27-year-old will have become even more challenging for many of his suitors.

Moreover, West Ham will now have all the power in negotiations should any club make an effort to sit down and talk to the Hammers about the 27-year-old. They will also demand a massive fee in exchange, making the operation even more complicated than it was previously.

Bowen’s decision a big blow for Newcastle United

Newcastle United have held an interest in Bowen, as they plan on strengthening their squad and refreshing the attacking third ahead of next season. They have some players lined up, and they plan to keep hold of some of their big stars, like Bruno Guimaraes, Alexander Isak, and Anthony Gordon.

However, Eddie Howe might have wanted Bowen to join his ranks and strengthen that troublesome right wing. The 27-year-old’s decision will now have come as a big blow to Newcastle United’s plans, as they will likely start looking at alternatives to the West Ham star.
