Aaron Wan-Bissaka set to leave Manchester United this summer

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is primed to leave Manchester United in the summer with a year left on his deal, with the club asking for £20 million.

According to The Sun, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to leave Manchester United in the summer. The Red Devils have set a £20 million asking price for the right-back, with a host of clubs interested, with Crystal Palace linked with a return for their former star.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka to leave Manchester United?

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been a good defender despite all the criticisms he has received. But overall, the former Crystal Palace star has disappointed, considering the standards required for a club like Manchester United. The £45 million investment now paints a bad picture for the recruitment department, with the Red Devils now ready to consider cut-price offers in the summer.

Erik ten Hag has been forced to use Wan-Bissaka more than he would have wanted due to the defensive injury crisis at Manchester United throughout the season. The right-back will enter the final year of his deal courtesy of an extension the club triggered last year, with the hierarchy ready to consider offers in the summer.

Manchester United are willing to accept offers close to £20 million for Wan-Bissaka, which would be a massive loss on their £45 million investment in the wide-man. A return to Crystal Palace has been mooted for quite some time. But there are doubts about whether the Eagles are overly eager and will compromise on paying him high wages.

Manchester United have already identified Denzel Dumfries as a potential replacement for Wan-Bissaka. They might have to pay a decent enough fee for the Dutchman, considering he is in a similar contractual situation. Still, they are indeed keen on the wing-back, as he is clearly of better quality.

Inter Milan interested in Wan-Bissaka

Inter Milan have reportedly been considering Wan-Bissaka as a potential replacement for Dumfries. They are keen on adding the English defender but might look elsewhere if they cannot negotiate the price with Manchester United for the 26-year-old.

An exchange deal has also been mooted with Inter Milan involving the two defenders. Such an arrangement could be complicated, as the Nerazzurri might ask for a considerable fee in addition to Wan-Bissaka.
