Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City must pay £70 million for Eberechi Eze

Crystal Palace will reportedly demand at least £70 million to sell Eberechi Eze, with Manchester City and Tottenham keen.

According to Football Insider, Crystal Palace has set a minimum price of £70 million to sell Eberechi Eze in the summer. A host of top Premier League sides are keen, including Tottenham and Manchester City, with the 25-year-old Premier League attacker likely to take up the chance for a more significant challenge.

Crystal Palace set Eberechi Eze price

There have been many reports in recent weeks linking Eberechi Eze with a move away from Crystal Palace. The Eagles are keen to hold on to him for the longer term but may have resigned to the fact that they might need help to get in the way of the player’s ambition.

The 25-year-old PL attacker certainly has ambitions to challenge for trophies and play for a bigger side, much like his colleague Michael Olise. Eze has had a fantastic season despite missing a chunk of the campaign with a fitness problem, as he notched his ninth goal against Wolves at the weekend.

The 25-year-old PL attacker has also provided five assists during the season, and it has undoubtedly attracted many top sides towards his signature. For a considerable period, it was believed that, like Olise, his contract consisted of a release clause, with suggestions that Palace might sell him for £60 million or more

Now, the report states, there’s no release clause, and instead, Palace might sell him for at least £70 million to suitors. Manchester City are keen on the attacker, with Pep Guardiola eager to sign him rather than Lucas Paqueta, as per some recent stories. Tottenham are also keen, with Ange Postecoglou needing an attacking midfielder of his profile in his squad.

Will Palace sell Eze?

Crystal Palace may have seen a good connection between Eze and new boss Oliver Glasner, under whom the 25-year-old PL attacker has been brilliant. Hence, they might be a little reluctant to part ways this quickly, as they also need to maintain squad balance, with Eze a key component of their team.

However, should they receive an offer upwards of £70 million, Crystal Palace may not stand in the way of the attacking midfielder. They are in a strong position in negotiations as Eze only signed a new deal back in November that will ensure he stays at Selhurst Park at least until 2027.
