Eberechi Eze expected to stay at Crystal Palace amid Tottenham links

Eberechi Eze has been linked with a summer move away from Crystal Palace, with Tottenham showing interest in him.

According to Give Me Sport, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Eberechi Eze, and they have been handed a blow in their pursuit of the Crystal Palace attacker. The 25-year-old is now expected to stay at Selhurst Park beyond the summer transfer window.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to move for other targets in the coming weeks now after considering a move for the Englishman. It is no secret that Spurs need to bring in attacking reinforcements, and the 25-year-old would have been a quality acquisition for them.

He would have added goals and creativity to the Tottenham attack. The Englishman is versatile enough to operate as the central attacking midfielder as well as a winger. Eze is well settled in the Premier League, and he could have made an instant impact at the north London club.

Eze is reportedly valued at £70 million, and it will be interesting to see if any club is willing to pay that kind of money for him in the near future. Even though he is a proven performer in the Premier League, clubs will be hoping to sign him for a more reasonable price.

Tottenham need attacking reinforcements

Tottenham have had an impressive 2023/24 season, and they are pushing for Champions League qualification. It will be interesting to see if they can overtake Aston Villa and finish in the top four.

Spurs will need to add more quality to their squad during the summer transfer window, and signing a versatile attacker like the Crystal Palace star would be ideal for them. It remains to be seen whether they can plug the gaps in their squad during the summer transfer window and perform at a high level next year.

They will be expected to compete for trophies next year, and they need quality players to match up to the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City. Meanwhile, Eze will look to compete at a higher level as well. Even if he ends up staying this summer, the opportunity to join a club capable of competing in Europe regularly will be quite tempting for the player.
