Chelsea keen on signing Chris Fuhrich

Chelsea are keen on acquiring the services of VfB Stuttgart attacking sensation Chris Fuhrich ahead of next season.

According to a report from CaughtOffside, Chelsea are expected to push for quite a few players in the upcoming transfer window and VfB Stuttgart’s Chris Fuhrich is one of the names on their wishlist. He has been in sensational form throughout the ongoing season and there is no shortage of interest in him.

Fuhrich has been a part of the Stuttgart setup since the summer of 2021. He has been a consistent performer for them over the years. The left-winger seems to have taken his game to another level this term. He has been involved in 37 matches across competitions this term and has contributed towards 16 goals (9 goals, 7 assists).

His performances have attracted a lot of interest and multiple clubs could knock on Stuttgart’s door for his signature. While he has over four years left on his deal, there is a €30 million release clause in his contract which could lead to his departure.

Chelsea interested in Chris Fuhrich

Chelsea are one of the clubs that seem quite interested in his services. While the club are expected to make a decision regarding the future of Mauricio Pochettino after the end of the season, they have started to plan for another summer full of transfers as they look to reinforce their squad.

Having signed quite a lot of youngsters over the past few windows, the Blues might look to sign a few experienced players and 26-year-old Fuhrich could be one of those signings. Quite a few of their forwards are expected to be on the move in the summer and the German winger could come in as a handy replacement.

His consistent performances and his abilities have put him on the radar of the London club and they have checked on his situation at the German club in the recent past. The Blues are looking to add some quality depth to their squad and they feel Fuhrich could be a great signing.

Stuggart have Champions League football to offer which the London club don’t. As a result, convincing him about a potential move is going to be difficult. Moreover, other clubs from Europe could join the race once the window opens, as a result, the final price could even go higher than the release clause.
