Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is under a lot of pressure after his team’s comprehensive defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

A report from TEAMtalk has claimed that Chelsea are now contemplating on whether to sack Mauricio Pochettino after a series of poor performances this season.

The Argentine manager signed a number of quality players during the summer transfer window. But Chelsea has not been able to repay the investment on the pitch. Pochettino has failed to get the best out of his new signings, and Chelsea have looked quite mediocre this season.

After a mid-table finish last season, Chelsea were expected to bounce back strongly and push for UEFA Champions League qualification this season. Instead, the Blues find themselves 11th in the standings, having failed to win 14 of their 23 league matches.

For a club of their stature, it has been a disastrous campaign, and it will be interesting to see if Pochettino can turn things around. It is fair to assume that the Chelsea manager could find himself out of a job if things do not improve quickly.

Chelsea have always been an ambitious club, and they are not afraid to make changes. It is hardly a surprise that they are considering Pochettino’s future. The Argentine manager has previously shown his quality in the Premier League with clubs like Southampton and Tottenham.

There is no doubt that he has the pedigree to manage at this level, and he will be desperate to get his teams campaign back on track. Although Champions League qualification seems highly unlikely at this stage, Chelsea could still secure European qualification for the next season if they can finish the season strongly.

Pochettino has quality players at his disposal, and it will be interesting to see if he can get the best out of his team. The Argentine was not able to win trophies during his time at Southampton and Tottenham.

However, Chelsea have the resources to compete with any club in world football, and he has a quality squad at his disposal as well. He will be determined to make the most out of the opportunity and build a lasting legacy at the club.
