Mohammed Kudus could have a release clause in West Ham United contract

West Ham United attacker Mohammed Kudus has been linked with a summer move away from the East London club.

According to to Give Me Sport, Mohammed Kudus likely has a release clause in his contract with West Ham United. Clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are keen on Ghanaian international in the summer transfer window.

West Ham United paid £38 million for Kudus last summer, and he has been outstanding for them so far. He could prove to be a superb acquisition for all three clubs. So, it is hardly surprising that high-profile outfits are keen on signing him.

Arsenal need to bring in more quality and depth in the final third. They have not been able to rotate players like Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka due to the lack of depth in the side. Kudus is versatile enough to operate in wide areas as well as a centre forward.

Meanwhile, Chelsea need more goals in the final third as well. Nicolas Jackson has been quite underwhelming this season, and they have been overly dependent on Cole Palmer. Palmer, Christopher Nkunku, and Kudus could form a quality partnership next season.

Liverpool need Mohammed Kudus

At Liverpool, they might need to replace Mohamed Salah soon. The Egyptian international will be out of contract in 2025, and he has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.

Kudus has the quality and the versatility to improve Liverpool, and it remains to be seen whether the three English clubs decide to follow up on their interest with an official proposal in the coming months.

If they decide to trigger his release clause in the summer, West Ham will be powerless to stop him from leaving. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few weeks.

The former Ajax attacker will want to compete at the highest level, and the opportunity to join clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool could be hard to turn down. They will be able to provide him with UEFA Champions League football next season, and he will be able to compete for trophies consistently.
