Arsenal will reportedly look to sign 18-year-old Barcelona midfield sensation Brian Farinas from Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Caught Offside, Brias Farinas is the subject of interest from Arsenal. The Gunners are scouring the market for a midfielder heading into the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, the 18-year-old Barcelona midfield sensation is also a target for Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund. But he has yet to decide where he wants to ply his trade next season.
Who is Brian Farinas?
Brian Farinas is the latest highly-rated wonderkid to emerge from Barcelona’s fabled La Masia division. A native of Benicarlo, he began his youth career at his hometown club, CD Benicarlo, before spending some time at Villarreal. The Spaniard has been with Barcelona since July 2018 and has gone from strength to strength in the last half a dozen years.
The 18-year-old has risen through the ranks in La Masia and currently turns out for Barcelona’s under-19 side. The youngster has also made one appearance for Barcelona Atletic, making an eight-minute substitute appearance for the reserve side. However, Farinas’s long-term future at the Catalan club is uncertain.
The Spanish midfield sensation will enter the final 12 months of his contract in July. Such a situation has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs. And a move to the Premier League might be on the cards, with Arsenal keen on signing him in the summer transfer window.
