Newcastle United have enquired about the services of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool target Ousmane Diomande ahead of a potential move.
According to A Bola via Sport Witness, Newcastle United are keen on having Ousmane Diomande in their ranks. The 20-year-old Sporting CP centre-back has made quite a name for himself on the back of his impressive performances, and multiple top clubs are pushing for his signatures. The Magpies are looking to push ahead of the competition and have already enquired about his availability.
Diomande joined Sporting CP in the winter of 2023 and has not looked back since. The 20-year-old has established himself as one of the mainstays in the Portuguese club. He has been a consistent performer for them since the start, and it has put him on the radar of multiple top clubs.
Newcastle making moves to sign Diomande
Newcastle United are one of the clubs linked with the Ivorian international. The Magpies have scouted him on multiple occasions, and they feel he could be a great addition to their team for the short as well as long term.
Jamaal Lascelles and Sven Botman are both out injured. They are expected to be unavailable for the start of next season. As a result, Newcastle’s priority is to sign new central defenders. They feel Diomande could be an ideal signing as he will help them cope with injuries and could eventually establish himself as a regular in the team.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool keen on Diomande
Newcastle United consider the €80 million price tag to be a touch on the higher side and hope Sporting CP will be open to negotiations. But, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea in the mix, the valuation is unlikely to go down any time soon.
All three clubs have scouted him in the past; they consider him a great prospect and are willing to bet on him. Arsenal only have three top-quality centre-backs in their ranks and are looking to add another one in the summer. Chelsea are looking for a long-term replacement for Thiago Silva, who is likely to be on the move after the end of the season.
While Liverpool do have the numbers at the back, they have not been that solid of late and need someone who can challenge those around him for a place in the XI. Diomande is someone who could be of great help to all of the clubs. Since Sporting are aware of the amount of competition for his services, they are unlikely to lower their €80 million asking price.
