Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United have faced a blow to their hopes of signing Jamal Musiala from Bayern Munich.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on HITC, Bayern Munich will not sell Jamal Musiala in the summer transfer window. The 21-year-old is a target for Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United. However, the Premier League bigwigs must look elsewhere to bolster their respective offensive units.

The rise and rise of Jamal Musiala

Jamal Musiala has established himself as one of the best young prospects in the world since joining Bayern Munich from Chelsea in July 2019. A native of Stuttgart, the German international spent nearly a decade in England during his youth career and also represented the country at different age-group levels.

However, he has opted to represent Germany since joining Bayern Munich nearly half a decade ago. The 21-year-old has not looked back since breaking into the first-team squad at the Allianz Arena and is now a regular for Die Roten. Musiala has enjoyed an excellent 2023/24 campaign, amassing 12 goals and seven assists in 36 appearances across all competitions.

However, the youngster’s long-term Bayern Munich future has been uncertain since he entered the final 30 months of his contract. Such a situation has captured the attention of every high-profile club in Europe, including Premier League bigwigs like Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United. However, Bayern Munich will not entertain offers for the youngster.

Raft of interest

Arsenal’s interest in Musiala is understandable, considering Gabriel Martinelli has blown hot and cold this season. Signing the Bayern Munich prospect will elevate the levels of the Arsenal attack. As for Chelsea, they have been keen on re-signing the 21-year-old for several years, although they should prioritise signing a striker and a centre-back.

Meanwhile, Liverpool can add Musiala to a fearsome midfield department, where he can combine with top-class players like Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai. As for Manchester United, he can be an option worth the right-wing berth, considering he is versatile enough to reprise almost every offensive role.

Other European heavyweights like Real Madrid and Manchester City also want Musiala. However, a summer move will not see the light of day, with Bayern Munich’s stance on his sale (which is not to sell him) has not changed.
