Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing Mohamed Amoura, who will cost €20 million in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Belgian outlet Le Soir, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are interested in Mohamed Amoura. The two London clubs have made their offers for the 23-year-old striker, with the Hammers submitting a bid worth €15 million. However, Union Saint-Gilloise will demand €20 million to part ways with him in the summer transfer window.

Mohamed Amoura has seen his stock soar since joining Union Saint-Gilloise from FC Lugano last summer. The Algerian international has been in Europe for less than three years but has already appeared on the radar of several high-profile clubs. Meanwhile, he has been a regular for his national side since making his debut in October 2021.

The 23-year-old has been prolific thus far this season, amassing 22 goals and six assists in 40 appearances across all competitions. Meanwhile, Amoura’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known Premier League clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.

Tottenham parted ways with Harry Kane last summer, with the England captain leaving a gaping hole in the offensive department. Alejo Veliz was the only striker to join the North London club. However, the young Argentine is not ready to be a regular for Tottenham yet.

So, it behoves Tottenham to invest in a striker, with several candidates, including Mohamed Amoura, emerging as targets. However, they face stiff competition from fellow London club West Ham United for the 23-year-old Union Saint-Gilloise striker. And the two Premier League clubs have submitted their bids to sign him, with the Hammers offering €15 million.

West Ham’s interest in Amoura is understandable. Michail Antonio and Danny Ings are on the wrong side of 30, with the latter way past his best. So, the Algerian international has emerged as an option worth considering. Meanwhile, Amoura will not cost a bomb, with Union Saint-Gilloise demanding €20 million to part ways with him.

€20 million is a reasonable price for a striker who has started blossoming into a top-class attacker. Tottenham and West Ham should have the funds to afford a move for the 23-year-old, and it will be interesting to see if a move sees the light of day.
