Tottenham Hotspur are interested in acquiring the services of 23-year-old Algerian striker Mohamed Amoura.

According to a report by Fennec Football, Tottenham Hotspur are looking to bolster their attack ahead of next season. The North London club are looking to bring in a new number nine, and Mohamed Amoura is one of the names on their radar.

Mohamed Amoura and his rise at Union-SG

Amoura has been in sensational form since joining Union-SG from Swiss club FC Lugano last summer. He has featured in a total of 35 matches for the Belgian club and has contributed towards 26 goals.

The 23-year-old already has 21 goals for his new club, and his dominant run in the Belgian Pro League has not gone unnoticed. Multiple clubs from across Europe are closely monitoring him and despite him having a long-term deal at Union-SG, clubs are ready to prise him away.

English giants Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs that have been linked with the 23-year-old. Spurs have stepped up their interest in the recent past and could make a move for him in the upcoming summer window.

They parted ways with Harry Kane in the summer and decided against signing a replacement. While their wide players have helped cope with his absence, Tottenham are now looking to bring in a young forward who can help them in the long run.

Tottenham making moves for Mohamed Amoura

Amoura seems to be an exciting talent who has been on fire of late, and the London club believe he has what it takes to make a name for himself in the Premier League. Tottenham are quite serious about their pursuit, and they have started closely monitoring the 23-year-old striker.

Representatives of the North London club travelled to Belgium to watch his team in action against Fenerbahce. While they got hammered 3-0, it did not really hamper Spurs’ interest in the African attacker.

The report states that the next few weeks could be important in this transfer saga, as Tottenham look to finalise the deal to land the young attacking sensational at the club. They do not want to enter into a bidding war with anyone and are looking to get it done as soon as possible.
