Arsenal, Chelsea, and West Ham United can sign Brentford star striker Ivan Toney for a bargain fee of £30-40 million.

According to a report by Florian Plettenberg, Ivan Toney could be on the move to a bigger club in the upcoming summer transfer window. Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham United are all keen on having the 28-year-old striker in their ranks, and they could sign him for £30-40 million.

Toney has been a consistent performer for Brentford since joining them back in 2020. He has played a key role in their return to the Premier League. The Englishman was on fire last season before he was handed a lengthy ban for illegal betting.

Toney’s return to football and his Brentford future

The English international made his return to football at the start of the year and has since featured in 13 Premier League games. The England international has found the back of the net on four occasions and also has an assist to his name.

Multiple clubs wanted to sign him last summer, but the ban became a hurdle. Now, that he is back and firing, several well-known clubs are monitoring his situation and could make a move in the upcoming transfer window.

His contract with the Bees runs out in the summer of 2025. Reports suggest that Toney wants to join a bigger club, and he has no intentions to pen down a new deal. As a result, the upcoming window will be the best possible opportunity for Brentford to make a significant fee from his departure.

While reports earlier have suggested that Brentford are looking to raise significant funds from his departure, Plettenberg has suggested he could be available for a cost-effective price. A fee of around £30-40 million could be enough to land the 28-year-old in the summer.

Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham want Ivan Toney

Arsenal, Chelsea, and West Ham United are linked with the England international, and they will consider £30-40 million as a bargain fee for someone who has proven himself in the English top flight. Mikel Arteta wants a new number nine who can add goals to his team as he is not happy with the output of his current strikers at Arsenal. That is why they are interested in Toney.

As far as Chelsea are concerned, they need a proven goalscorer after having struggled to find the back of the net at the start of the 2023/24 season. Things might have improved, but they still need a top-quality striker, and the Brentford ace is on their radar.

West Ham are also looking to sign a new striker with Michail Antonio’s contract running out at the end of the season, and Danny Ings entering the final phase of his career. They are interested in Toney’s services, but it is not that serious from their end yet.
