Chelsea are keen on acquiring the services of 24-year-old Real Madrid attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz ahead of next season.

According to a report by DefensaCentral, Chelsea are looking at ways to bolster their attack ahead of next season and they are interested in having Brahim Diaz in their ranks. The 24-year-old Real Madrid star has been in sensational form this season and the Blues want to prise him away from the Spanish giants.

Brahim Diaz’s Real Madrid comeback

Diaz signed for Los Blancos in the winter of 2019 after coming up the ranks at Manchester City. Initially, it didn’t really work out for him at the Spanish club and he had multiple loan spells at AC Milan. After proving himself at the highest level with the Italian club, Madrid decided to reinstate him in their first team and it seems to have worked wonders for them.

While he might not be a regular starter in the team, the 24-year-old has featured in 34 and has racked up 1,600 minutes of first-team football. He has contributed towards 14 goals and he now has an important role in the team under Carlo Ancelotti.

Chelsea pushing for the services of Brahim Diaz

His impressive performances have attracted a lot of attention and Chelsea are one of the clubs keen on his signatures. The Blues want to reinforce their attack ahead of next season. Despite having spent a fortune on young stars, they haven’t been able to get the desired performances on the pitch.

The London club are now planning to once again make major changes to their squad in the upcoming summer transfer window. They feel Diaz could be an ideal fit for them. While he prefers playing as an attacking midfielder, the 24-year-old is capable enough to feature on the flanks as well.

The Blues are considering making a move for the Moroccan international but Los Blancos have no intentions of negotiating his departure. They consider him an important part of their plans moving ahead and want him at the club for the next season.

If the player seeks a move away things could change. But, as things stand, he wants to continue at the Spanish club. His contract runs until the summer of 2027 and he could soon get an extension offer with improved terms thanks to his impressive performances.
