Real Madrid might ponder over a sensational swap deal involving Vinicius Junior and Erling Haaland, although no move may happen this summer.

According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid may pinder over a swap deal involving 23-year-old star Vinicius Junior for Erling Haaland. Any move may not happen in the upcoming summer window, as it’s something for both clubs to think about in 2025 or beyond.

Real Madrid considering Vinicius Junior-Erling Haaland swap?

Swap deals are extremely rare in football transfers, although Real Madrid have been linked with two of those in the last few weeks alone. Earlier, some reports suggested a swap deal between them and Liverpool involving Trent Alexander-Arnold and Rdorygo Goes.

Now, the latest name in the picture is Vinicius Junior, who the club might ponder swapping for Manchester City star Erling Haaland. Real Madrid have an interest in the Norwegian and consider him a future option to lead their line, however, they do not expect to bid for him at least until 2025.

Manchester City are not keen on offloading Haaland anytime soon, as they are planning on a pay hike and a new contract for their star striker. Meanwhile, the report suggests that while Real Madrid may not consider any sale of their 23-year-old Brazilian winger this summer, a future move could be on the cards.

Any swap deal involving Vinicius Junior and Erling Haaland would shake the footballing world, although it does seem highly unlikely given the values of those players. As things stand, both players are highly key for either side and will continue to feature where they are currently.

Why would Real Madrid sell Vinicius Junior?

The 23-year-old is widely considered one of the best players in the world right now, and Real Madrid only signed him on a new contract recently. While there have been links to Manchester United, the Spanish giants have no interest in selling the Brazilian wide-man at any cost.

However, there are external problems, like the racism storm the Brazilian continues to experience, as well as the potential arrival of Kylian Mbappe, that could threaten the winger’s place. However, even when the Frenchman arrives, it’s up to Carlo Ancelotti to find a way to accommodate both these superstar names, as Florentino Perez might not tolerate benching one for the other.

Spanish authorities must take serious measures to at least reduce the racial issues taking over their football…we the Africans supporting especially real Madrid from outside are very disappointed in the way they handle matters concerning racism…. figure like the La Liga president has failed in this situation,.. his comments after vini was abused convinced me that Spanish has a very Long way to go when it comes to racism.
