Chelsea are all set to offer their 21-year-old summer signing Cole Palmer a new bumper contract on the back of his performances.
According to a report by Daily Star, Chelsea are ready to reward Cole Palmer for his exceptional debut season with the club. The 21-year-old has been the Blues’ best performer in the ongoing season and they are now ready to double his wages.
Palmer on fire since leaving City
Palmer came up the ranks at Manchester City. He made it to their first team in the summer of 2021 and had two quite promising seasons with his childhood club.
Chelsea who have been focused on signing young players with huge potential made a move for the England international and managed to sign him last summer on transfer deadline day for a fee of £42.5 million.
While it is a significant fee for a 21-year-old, Palmer’s performances have ensured that the deal now will be considered a bargain. The Blues have struggled as a team but the attacking midfielder has still been a cut above the rest of their squad.
The attacking midfielder has featured in 33 matches for the London club and has contributed towards 24 goals. He has scored 13 goals and has 11 assists in his debut season with a few matches still to go.

Palmer’s consistent performances have ensured that he will be called up for the Euros. And, it will also help him get a pay rise before heading to the continental tournament.
The former City sensation signed a seven-year deal worth £75,000 a week with the Blues when he made the move in the summer. While there will still be six years left on his deal in the summer, City are ready to offer him a new contract that will double his wages.
They are expected to hand him a deal worth £150,000 a week which he sees him earn as much as a few of their underperforming better-paid colleagues. The 21-year-old is expected to be an integral part of their plans moving ahead, as a result, the new deal will surely help them secure his services for years to come.
