La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid are reportedly mulling over signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Serie A champions Napoli.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. But the update comes as a surprise, considering Kylian Mbappe will likely join Los Blancos in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, the 23-year-old Serie A winner is eager to join the Spanish club when he leaves Napoli.
The Khvicha Kvaratskhelia Story
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has established himself as one of the best players in Serie A since joining Napoli from Dinamo Batumi. The Georgian international hit the ground running at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, and he was a pivotal figure as Napoli ended a wait of over three decades to win the Scudetto.
But his performance levels have fallen this season, with Napoli struggling to remain relevant in the top-four chase, let alone the Serie A title race. Nevertheless, the 23-year-old has stepped up in recent weeks to have 16 goal contributions in 36 appearances thus far, finding the back of the net ten times while providing six assists.
Despite blowing hot and cold this season, Kvaratskhelia’s stock remains high in the market, with high-profile clubs across Europe interested. Several Premier League bigwigs are keen on signing him. But a move to La Liga might be on the cards, with Real Madrid considering a summer deal.

Real Madrid’s interest in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is surprising. The 23-year-old Serie A winner plays on the left flank, and he is not productive in any other position. So, with Vinicius Junior nailed on in that spot and Kylian Mbappe highly likely to join Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, it is difficult to see how the Napoli attacker fits into the scheme of things.
Nevertheless, the report suggests Real Madrid will look to secure Kvaratskhelia’s services in the summer transfer window. In addition, the Georgian international views the Santiago Bernabeu as his ideal destination after leaving Napoli.
