Real Madrid are reportedly keen on signing 23-year-old Manchester City homegrown star Phil Foden, with Juni Calafat driving the move.

According to a report from Defensa Central, Real Madrid are keeping tabs on 23-year-old England international Phil Foden, and they could look to make their move in the summer.

The homegrown star has had an impressive season with the defending champions so far, and he recently put in an outstanding performance against derby rivals Manchester United, picking up two assists. Foden has been a proven performer for Manchester City in recent seasons, and he is only going to get better with coaching and experience.

The England international is still only 23. Real Madrid would do well to secure his services. However, Manchester City are one of the wealthiest clubs in the world, and they have no reason to sell their best players. Real Madrid might find it very difficult to convince them to sell the player.

Foden is versatile enough to operate as the attacking midfielder as well as a winger. His versatility will be an added bonus is the Spanish giants can get the deal done. Real Madrid are looking to improve their attacking options at the end of the season, and they are thought to be keen on Kylian Mbappe as well.

Real Madrid already have players like Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes at their disposal. They signed Jude Bellingham last summer as well. It seems that they are looking to put together a world class team of superstars for the future.

Can Real Madrid convince Manchester City and Foden?

Real Madrid are widely regarded as the biggest club in the world, and it will be interesting to see if the Manchester City home grown prospect is tempted to move to Spain. The opportunity to reunite with his compatriot Bellingham could be an attractive option as well.

It is fair to assume that Real Madrid will have to pay a lucrative amount of money for the player, and it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds over the next few weeks. Manchester City already have a proven track record when it comes to winning trophies regularly and the midfielder might feel that he can compete for major trophies by staying at his boyhood club.

It will be interesting to see how Real Madrid convince him to move to Spain. Meanwhile, Manchester City’s star striker Erling Haaland is also a target for Real Madrid. But signing either player might be a tall order.

Not one City player would ever leave City to play for a plastic club like Real Madrid. People can do as much talking as they want.

They have absolutely zero chance. Phil is a mad Man City supporter who has already stated he dreams of being a one club man.

😂😂😂 well looks like half our team are going there for a combined £500,000,000 as that’s how much it would cost them 😂😂😂

There’s not a hope in hell of him being sold or for that matter wanting to play for Real.
