Chelsea are in conversation with Victor Osimhen’s agents to agree on personal terms as they step up their chase of the striker.

According to Rudy Galetti, Chelsea are pushing with their move for Victor Osimhen as they look to agree on personal terms with the 25-year-old star’s agents. The Blues are among many top clubs looking at the Napoli forward ahead of the summer window.

Chelsea pushing to agree personal terms with Victor Osimhen

Multiple reports have made it abundantly clear that Victor Osimhen is Chelsea’s primary target ahead of the summer. The Napoli star has a €130 million release clause in his contract, as the Serie A side will not sell for anything less in the upcoming window.

Chelsea may have received a boost in their pursuit of Osimhen, with the striker reportedly preferring to join the Stamford Bridge outfit. The reason behind this is that the 25-year-old star wants to emulate his role model, Didier Drogba, who is considered a legend at the club. In any case, it’s not the final thing that seals the deal, as there are plenty of other factors in effect.

Chelsea are reportedly readying a move for Osimhen, although now they are reportedly trying to agree on personal terms with the 25-year-old star’s agents. The Napoli star will undoubtedly demand a considerable salary package, something the Blues are capable of paying should they get ahead in the race.

The idea of agreeing on personal terms will then allow Chelsea to have some understanding with the striker’s agents, which could enable them to begin talks with Napoli.

Chelsea have a long road ahead for Osimhen

Chelsea have many factors that could dissuade many top targets from joining the club. As things stand, there are plenty of problems regarding stability and the level of football at Stamford Bridge, which was evident in their loss to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup Final. Additionally, they are far from qualifying for the Champions League or even the Europa League, which could complicate transfers for players like Osimhen.

Arsenal are also in the race and willing to pay a considerable wage package to sign Osimhen. The trajectory of Mikel Arteta’s side would make them an appealing prospect for any player, let alone the 25-year-old star, which in turn could hurt Chelsea’s chances. Hence, there’s a long road ahead for the Blues before they sign the striker, although agreeing on personal terms could prove a big step in the right direction.
