Crystal Palace are interested in having 20-year-old Juventus winger Samuel Iling-Junior in their ranks as Michael Olise’s replacement.
According to a report by HITC, Crystal Palace are keen on signing Samuel Iling-Junior in the summer transfer window. The 20-year-old winger’s future at Juventus is uncertain, and he is expected to be on the move in the near future.
Samuel Iling-Junior on Crystal Palace’s radar
Iling-Junior was a part of the Chelsea youth ranks before he joined Juventus in the summer of 2020. He made it to their first team towards the end of 2022 and has since featured in 33 matches for their first team.
The opportunities have been quite limited for the England youth international. Despite all his efforts, he has failed to break into Massimiliano Allegri’s first-choice XI this season. He has 15 appearances but has been on the pitch for less than 400 minutes.
The 20-year-old is surplus to requirements at Juventus, and they are ready to sanction his sale for a fee of just around £16 million as per multiple reports. While there is no certainty of what the actual fee will be, the Serie A giants will look to cash in on him for sure.
Olise’s departure could result in Iling-Junior’s arrival at Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace are interested in Samuel Iling-Junior. The Eagles are preparing for life without Michael Olise. The 22-year-old winger has been on fire of late and multiple top clubs want to sign him ahead of next season.
He has huge potential and has already proven himself in the English top flight. As a result, top clubs are ready to battle it out for him. Juventus are one of the clubs interested, and they would love to use Iling-Junior as a part of the deal to sign Olise.
But, that is unlikely to happen as the 22-year-old will prefer a move to an English bigwig, and Juventus cannot really compete with top English clubs in terms of finances. Manchester United are one of the clubs interested in Olise’s services.
The Red Devils have had quite a few problems on the right flank, and the Eagles winger could quite a few of their problems. Crystal Palace are aware of United’s interest, and they know there is a huge possibility of leaving. As a result, they are looking at Iling-Junior as a replacement. The Juventus winger is not like for like, but he will bolster their attack and help them cope with the loss.
