Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur begin the battle for the services of Atalanta mainstay Ederson.
Ederson has been the talk of the town in the world of football of late. The 24-year-old midfielder has been doing wonders for Atalanta and his impressive performances have attracted a lot of attention. And, according to a report by Tutto Atalanta, Premier League giants Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham have taken the first step towards signing him.
The Brazilian midfielder has made quite a name for himself with his impressive performances in the ongoing season. He joined the Italian club in the summer of 2022 but didn’t really have the best of times in the first season. But, he has turned things around in the second season and now European giants are after his signatures.
While his contract with Atalanta runs until the summer of 2026, there is a possibility of a departure after the end of the ongoing season. Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham are ready to square up against each other for the 24-year-old.
They have already initiated a move to land him at their club. The first moves have been made but it is just the beginning of months of negotiations before any of them comes out on top.
Ederson: A priority target for English giants
Tottenham have been scouting the Brazilian midfielder for a while now. They lack depth and are expected to make quite a few signings, Ederson is one of their targets as he can provide a big boost for their midfield.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are always on the lookout for players who can help further bolster their squad. They feel the Atalanta midfielder has the qualities to fit into Mikel Arteta’s system and they are willing to invest in him.
United have also identified Ederon as a key target. The 24-year-old’s consistent performances have attracted the Red Devils’ interest. They need to bring in more quality in the centre of the park and their new ownership feels they can invest in the Brazilian midfielder.
Liverpool’s midfield overhaul has done wonders for them but there is still work to be done. They need another player and people at the club feel the Atalanta midfielder has what it takes to succeed in the English top flight.
Atalanta’s stance on Ederson
While the English are keen on his signatures and have initiated a move, Atalanta are is in no rush to negotiate his departure. But, they will open to negotiating if an offer of at least €40 million arrives on their door.
The Italian club will try their best to keep him at the club but €45 million could do the trick. However, If they qualify for the Champions League, they will surely not let him leave.
