Premier League heavyweights are reportedly ready to make an important offer to sign Joshua Zirkzee, valued at €50 million by Bologna.
According to a report by Italian outlet Juve Live, Joshua Zirkzee is the subject of interest from Arsenal. The Dutch forward is also a target for Serie A giants Juventus. But the Gunners are “ready to make an important offer” for the Bologna attacker, valued at €50 million by the Italian club.
Joshua Zirkzee Coming Into his Own
Joshua Zirkzee has found a stable footing in his career since joining Bologna from Bayern Munich. A native of Schiedam, he spent most of his formative years in the Netherlands but graduated from the Bayern Munich youth division. But he could not become a regular for the Bavarian giants and had to suffice with receiving game time away from the club on loan.
Bologna finally handed Zirkzee an escape route out of Bayern Munich in August 2022. The youngster has come leaps and bounds in the last 18 months and is enjoying an excellent 2023/24 season. The 22-year-old has contributed to 16 goals in 27 appearances thus far, finding the back of the net ten times while providing six assists.
The Dutchman’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs. Premier League clubs, in particular, are keen on signing Zirkzee, with Manchester United among his prospective suitors. But he is also a target for fellow English outfit Arsenal.
Arsenal Want Zirkzee
Arsenal’s interest in Joshua Zirkzee is understandable. Recent reports have claimed that the Gunners are “above all” in the race to sign the Dutch forward. And with Gabriel Jesus not being prolific enough in the final third, it makes sense for Arsenal to target the Bologna striker.
The 22-year-old is adding productivity to his game and can be a top-notch addition to the Arsenal squad. And the report by Juve Live has claimed that the North London giants are “ready to make an important offer” to sign the Bologna striker. Meanwhile, the Serie A outfit will demand around €50 million to part ways with him.
The Gunners have the financial capability to pay €50 million to sign Joshua Zirkzee. But with Juventus and other top clubs also interested, it will be interesting to see if Arsenal can beat them with “an important offer”.
