Chelsea are reportedly keen on 20-year-old Hungarian international Milos Kerkez from fellow Premier League club Bournemouth.

A report from Ben Jacobs via Si Phillips Talks Chelsea has claimed that Chelsea have been scouting Milos Kerkez at fellow Premier League club Bournemouth ahead of a potential summer move.

Milos Kerkez and his Suitability at Chelsea

Kerkez has established himself as an important player for Bournemouth this season, and he could prove to be a quality long-term investment for the Blues. Chelsea need to bring in a quality left-back, and the 20-year-old certainly fits the profile.

The Hungarian defender is likely to improve with coaching and experience. Mauricio Pochettino could help him develop into a top-class defender in the coming seasons. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea follow up on their interest with an official offer to sign the talented young defender in the summer.

They already have players like Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella at their disposal. But the Spanish defender has not been at his best since joining the club. His underwhelming performances have added to speculations surrounding his long-term future at Stamford Bridge. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea decide to cash in on Cucurella and sign Kerkez as his replacement.

The 20-year-old defender is well settled in the Premier League, and he could make an immediate impact at Chelsea next season. He could compete with Chilwell for the starting spot, which would improve Chelsea as a team.

Chelsea need additions in summer

Chelsea need to plug the gaps in their squad to compete for major trophies once again. Improving their defence and attack should be a top priority for them in the summer. They need to sign a quality left-back and another reliable central defender in the summer. In addition, they should look to invest in a reliable goal scorer as well.

The report claims that Chelsea could have a transfer budget of around £200 million in the summer, and it remains to be seen whether the Blues can secure and agreement with Bournemouth. The Cherries are unlikely to want to let the 20-year-old leave anytime soon, and Chelsea will probably have to pay a premium in order to tempt them.

Milos Kerkez will probably be attracted to the idea of playing for one of the biggest clubs in the country, and he will hope to compete at the highest level with them and win trophies in the coming seasons.
