Chelsea will have to break the bank and fork out €90 million to land 24-year-old Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.
According to a report by Tutto Juve, Chelsea are keen on bolstering their attack in the near future and they have their eyes set on Dusan Vlahovic. The 24-year-old has been doing a great job in the ongoing season and his performances have resulted in a lot of interest from across Europe.
Vlahovic made the move to Juventus in the winter of 2022 after proving himself in the Italian league while playing for Fiorentina. While he was doing a decent job in the initial years, people at the club and the fans were not really happy with his output.
His struggles resulted in him being closely monitored by clubs from across Europe. He was linked with a move away from the club last summer. A few clubs did make moves but none of them succeeded.
The Serbian international has managed to turn things around since the start of the 2023/24 season. He has featured in a total of 21 Serie A matches and has contributed with 12 goals and two assists.
Vlahovic has been in sensational form and his performances have attracted interest. But, with still over two years left on his deal, the Old Lady are the ones in the driving seat. Given their financial situation, they are open to negotiating any of their player’s departure but given the importance of the Serbian international, Juventus will only sell on their own terms.
The Italian giants are looking for more than €90 million for the 24-year-old and Chelsea are one of the clubs that are interested in him. The Blues have struggled in front of goal at times in the ongoing season. The lack of a proven goal scorer has caused problems, they want to bring an end to it in the summer Vlahovic is one of their targets to solve the crisis up top.
The London club wanted to sign him in the winter but that wasn’t really possible. They will most likely return for his in the summer. But, Chelsea won’t be the only ones in the race for his signatures and they will have to battle it out to land him at their club.
