Chelsea could put forward an offer worth €80 million for the services of 23-year-old Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.

According to a report by Fichajes, Chelsea have reignited their interest in the services of Dusan Vlahovic. The 23-year-old has been linked with a move away from Juventus for a while now and with the Blues ready to pay big, he could be on his way to the London club in January.

Chelsea haven’t had the best of starts to the new season. Mauricio Pochettino has failed to hit the ground running. While things have improved recently with three back-to-back wins in all competitions, the start was not what they had expected to have.

The Blues were struggling to score goals. Despite creating more chances they were ending up on the wrong side of the result because they were not taking their chances. While things have improved of late, the lack of a proper number nine is quite clear. As a result, Pochettino wants Chelsea to go big on a new number.

And, the Blues have their eye on Vlahovic. They were interested in him back in the day and have recently reignited their interest. The Serbian international made a name for himself while playing for Fiorentina. His consistent performances resulted in a big-money move to Juventus in the winter of 2022.

While he has been doing a decent job up top for the Italian club, the 23-year-old hasn’t had the kind of impact Juventus were hoping for. And, with them not in the best of financial situations, they are ready to consider parting ways with the Serbian striker.

According to the report, the Blues are ready to go big to sign the former Fiorentina striker. They are ready to pay around €80 million for the Serbian forward which will help Juventus all that they had invested in him back in the day.

Meanwhile, Vlahovic has had a great start to the 2023-24 season with five-goal contributions in six outings. His impressive start has attracted a lot of attention. And, Chelsea are not the only club interested even Arsenal and Real Madrid are keen on having him in their ranks.

The Gunners do have two quality strikers in their squad but Mikel Arteta is still keen on signing another striker. The Spanish manager wants to sign in a proper number nine, someone who has a physical presence. As a result, he is considering pushing for the 23-year-old in the winter.
