Liverpool are keen on acquiring the services of the 20-year-old PSV Eindhoven winger Johan Bakayoko.

According to a report by Voetbalkrant, Liverpool are keen on having Johan Bakayoko in their ranks. The 20-year-old sensation has been doing wonders for PSV Eindhoven and his impressive performances have resulted in interest from across Europe.

Despite being just 20, Bakayoko has already made quite a name for himself. He is regular at the Dutch club and also has nine appearances for the Belgian national team.

The PSV graduate has featured in a total of 33 matches this season and has contributed towards 19 goals. He has bagged a total of 13 assists along with six goals. Those performances haven’t gone unnoticed, multiple top clubs from across Europe are keen on his signatures.

While his contract with the Dutch club runs until the summer of 2026, he might not be a part of the club beyond the summer. PSV’s sporting director Ernie Stewart has recently said that he does see the 20-year-old playing for them next season.

They have done incredibly well to keep him at the club over the past two transfer windows. Just like last summer, clubs were keen on his signatures during the winter but PSV managed to keep hold of their star. Even the player wanted to stay until the end of the season.

But, that won’t be the case in the summer and his departure is pretty much guaranteed. PSG, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich are all linked with the 20-year-old. And, given the kind of potential he has, there could be quite a few more clubs ready to make a move.

Liverpool are one of the clubs that are quite serious about their pursuit of the Belgian international. The Reds are looking to bolster their right flank. Mohamed Salah is in the last leg of his career and he could even be on the move in the summer given the amount of interest in him from Saudi Arabia.

Bakayoko could be a great addition to their ranks and he could eventually become a mainstay. Not only will the Merseyside club have to battle it out with others, but they will also have to spend some big bucks to sign the PSV star. He is currently valued at €40 million and the Dutch will only let him leave for a much higher figure than that.
