Brighton & Hove Albion are looking to secure the services of the 22-year-old Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil on loan.

According to Dan Kilpatrick via The Standard, Brighton & Hove Albion are looking to reinforce their attack in the little time that is left in the ongoing transfer window. The Seagulls are looking to secure the services of Bryan Gil on loan until the end of the season.

Bryan Gil and his Tottenham Struggles

Gil came up the ranks at Sevilla. He made it to their first team in the winter of 2019 and was subject to multiple loan moves post that before eventually parting ways and joining Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2021.

Things have not been any easy for the 22-year-old attacker since making the move to England. He has been subject to multiple loan moves, one of which saw him return to his childhood club for the second half of last season.

Since the start of the 2023/24 season, Gil has featured in a total of ten matches and has racked up just 217 minutes of first-team action. Things are unlikely to change, and he might have even gone further down the pecking order under Ange Postecoglou.

The Australian manager decided to bring on Jamie Donley ahead of the Spanish international against Brentford in their previous outing, which suggests Gil is unlikely to have much game time in the second half of the season. But, he does have an option to leave on loan, as Brighton are keen on his signatures.

Brighton Want Bryan Gil

The Seagulls have been forced to enter the market for a new forward because of the ongoing injury crisis at their club. They are keen on bringing in a player who can feature out wide, and Gil seems to be a great option to have as he can on both flanks as well as an attacking midfielder.

Brighton are keen on having the 22-year-old in their ranks, and they are pushing hard for his signatures. Meanwhile, Tottenham are ready to sanction his departure, and they have no problems sending him out on loan until the end of the season.

But, for that to happen, Brighton will have to convince the player. The Spanish international might not be getting enough game time at the Premier League club. But he is enjoying working under their new Australian boss. As a result, there is no guarantee that he will be on the move before the deadline. However, that could change if Brighton can convince him to join them.
