Tottenham are eager to get rid of Bryan Gil, as the Spaniard could move on another loan deal until the end of the season.

According to Fichajes, Tottenham remain unconvinced of Bryan Gil and could look to offload the Spaniard in this window. The chances of the 22-year-old attacker leaving on another loan deal are sky-high, with the report pointing towards Serie A as a possible destination.

Bryan Gil to leave Tottenham?

Bryan Gil has frustrated many at Tottenham since his high-profile move from Sevilla a few years ago. The Spaniard has always shown his talent in flashes and never managed to establish himself under various managers.

Tottenham have so far already sanctioned two separate loan deals to Valencia and then to his former side Sevilla, with whom he won the Europa League trophy last season. Back at Spurs, he did manage to find his way into Ange Postecoglou’s plans but again failed to convince the Australian of a long-term place.

The potential arrival of Timo Werner would end Gil’s time at the club, as Tottenham could get rid of him again in this window. The report suggests the prospect of the 22-year-old attacker leaving on yet another loan are sky high, as they point towards a possible move to Serie A.

Postecoglou ideally prefers attacking talents like Gil, but his inability to adapt to the Premier League have raised concerns. After the potential loan this month, they might look to find a permanent solution to the 22-year-old attacker’s future, meaning a sale could materialise next summer.

Tottenham’s plans for January

Postecoglou would want to strengthen his side to a reasonable level and has already identified vital targets. With Werner about to arrive, the Australian boss wants a new defender as Spurs close in on Radu Dragusin. Reports suggest they have reached an agreement, but they are probably close to achieving it.

They might also target a midfielder, as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg might depart for new pastures. Others like Eric Dier are also looking to leave, with Spurs green-lighting a move to Bayern Munich for the experienced English star.

There might be other departures, but much will depend on how Postecoglou views certain players in his system for the campaign’s second half. As for Gil, he does not have a future here, as Tottenham will hope he makes a good impression during a potential move away later this month.
