According to reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Lucas Bergvall is the subject of interest from Barcelona. The reigning La Liga champions view the 17-year-old midfield prodigy as their priority target. And they are preparing their bid to sign the in-demand Djurgardens IF whizkid.
Who is Lucas Bergvall?
Lucas Bergvall is the latest midfield prodigy to rise in prominence in Europe. The Swede passed out from the IF Brommapojkarna youth division but has grown in stature after joining Djurgardens IF in February 2023. And he has also broken into his national team despite still being in his teens.
The 17-year-old has turned out 29 times thus far for Djurgardens IF, chipping in with three goals and one assist. He has made his Sweden debut this month and has a bright future ahead of him. Meanwhile, Bergvall’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of many high-profile clubs.
Widespread reports have linked Lucas Bergvall with Premier League bigwigs like Manchester United and Newcastle United. The teenage sensation is also a target for reigning La Liga champions Barcelona. And they are preparing a bid to sign the young midfield prodigy.
