Barcelona and Real Madrid are losing the race to sign 14-year-old Brazilian wonderkid Guilherme ‘Gui’ Ruck, who will soon join Real Valladolid.

According to a report by Spanish outlet SPORT, Guilherme ‘Gui’ Ruck is the subject of interest from Flamengo. And the Brazilian giants are in advanced talks to sign the 14-year-old wonderkid. Barcelona and Real Madrid were also keen on signing the Real Valladolid whizkid but are now losing the race.

Who is Gui Ruck?

Guilherme ‘Gui’ Ruck has become a hot property in the market despite being only 14 years old. The Brazilian sensation has represented nine academies thus far in his nascent youth career, ranging from clubs in Brazil, Portugal, and Spain. But he has risen in prominence since joining Real Valladolid in 2022.

The teenage prospect has come leaps and bounds at the Spanish club, with Ronaldo’s presence helping his growth. A promising midfielder, Ruck has alerted many scouts with his exploits in age-group football in his youth career thus far, particularly in Spain.

The report has revealed that the Real Valladolid prodigy wants to continue his youth career in his homeland, giving Flamengo the preference. So, Barcelona and Real Madrid must look elsewhere to bolster their youth squads, with Ruck on the verge of joining Flamengo.
