Aston Villa, Chelsea, and Newcastle United have reportedly approached the entourage of Paulo Dybala to ask for information about the 30-year-old.

According to a report by Corriere della Sera, Paulo Dybala is a man in demand. Aston Villa, Chelsea, and Newcastle United are keen on signing the AS Roma attacker. And the three Premier League clubs have contacted the entourage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner to ask for information about him.

Paulo Dybala and his Rise in Italy

Paulo Dybala has been one of the best attackers in Serie A for over a decade. The 30-year-old has only represented Italian clubs in Europe, turning out for US Palermo, Juventus, and AS Roma. He rose to prominence during his stint with Palermo before joining the Bianconeri in July 2015.

The seven subsequent years saw the Argentine international dominating Serie A football with Juventus. While his stock fell towards the final years of his stay with the Turin club, he has put that in the background after moving to AS Roma. And Dybala’s solid displays have continued this season, as he has managed six goals and six assists in 18 appearances thus far.

Meanwhile, Dybala was a part of the Argentine squad that won the 2022 FIFA World Cup. As for his future at the club level, he might not be at AS Roma beyond the January transfer window due to a meagre release clause in his contract. Such a development has captured the attention of Aston Villa, Chelsea, and Newcastle United.

A Man in Demand

Recent reports claimed that Chelsea had begun the proceedings to secure Dybala’s services this month. The latest update has revealed that the Blues have approached his entourage to ask for information about the 30-year-old World Cup winner. That is also the case with Aston Villa and Newcastle United.

The Villans are in the market for an attacker who can share the goalscoring burden with Ollie Watkins. Dybala is thus a viable target. In addition, he is an able creator who can support Watkins in the final third. As for Newcastle United, they can do with a versatile attacker amid their struggles to consistently score goals this term.

But time is running out for Aston Villa, Chelsea, and Newcastle United, as Dybala’s release clause is only valid until midway through January. So, it will be interesting to see if a move to the Premier League sees the light of day.
