Kalvin Phillips made a name for himself while playing for Leeds United in the English top flight. His performance earned him a spot in the England national team, and it also resulted in a big-money move to Manchester City in the summer of 2022.
He was expected to slowly break into their first team. But things have not gone according to plan. The 28-year-old has failed to break into Pep Guardiola’s team. Manchester City were ready to part ways with him during the summer, but he wanted to fight for his place in the team and decided to stay.
However, things have not changed one bit, and he remains surplus to requirements. The 28-year-old is now ready to partway with the English champions as he seeks regular first-team football. Phillips wants to get to the Euros in the best possible way and staying at City is no longer an option for him.
