Crysencio Summerville is reportedly happy and content at Leeds United, handing a blow to his suitors, including Aston Villa.

According to a report by Football Insider, Crysencio Summerville is the subject of interest from Aston Villa. The Villans want to sign the Leeds United winger in the ongoing January transfer window. But the 22-year-old is happy and content at the West Yorkshire club and does not want a winter departure.

Crysencio Summerville and his Rise

Crysencio Summerville has become a talismanic figure for Leeds United in the last 12 months. The Dutch attacker had to bide his time after arriving from Feyenoord a few years ago. But he has not looked back since establishing a foothold in the first-team squad at Elland Road.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed an excellent 2023/24 campaign, contributing to 18 goals thus far. He has found the back of the net 12 times while providing six assists in 23 EFL Championship appearances. Summerville’s progress at Leeds United has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of many well-known clubs.

Recent reports have linked Crysencio Summerville with Premier League bigwigs like Liverpool. But he is also a target for Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion, with the two high-flying outfits keen on securing his services in the January transfer window.

Aston Villa Keen on Signing Crysencio Summerville

Aston Villa’s interest in Summerville is understandable. Unai Emery wants his attackers to take the sole goalscoring burden off Ollie Watkins. The English international has been an exceptional performer for Aston Villa since arriving from Brentford. But he is the only reliable scorer for the Midlands outfit.

So, it behoves Aston Villa to delve into the market for a top-notch attacker in the January transfer window. Crysencio Summerville has thus emerged as a viable target for the Villans. But the 22-year-old winger has handed a blow to Arsenal as he is happy and content at Leeds United.

Despite widespread speculation surrounding his future, Summerville wants to remain at Elland Road and drive the promotion bid for Leeds United in the second half of the 2023/24 season. So, Aston Villa will have to look elsewhere to bolster the offensive unit in the January transfer window.
