According to a report by Spanish outlet SPORT, Raphinha is the subject of interest from Manchester United. The Red Devils are eyeing the 27-year-old as the long-sought right-wing solution. But Barcelona will demand a premium of around €100 million to part ways with him.
Raphinha and His Inconsistencies at Barcelona
Raphinha has struggled to stamp his authority since joining Barcelona from Leeds United last year. The Brazilian international was one of the best attackers in the Premier League when he arrived in Catalonia. But he has blown hot and cold during his ongoing stint with Barcelona.
The 27-year-old has produced flashes of brilliance in the last 18 months. That has been the case thus far this term, as he has managed only two goals and six assists in 16 appearances across all competitions. But despite Raphinha’s inconsistencies, his stock remains high, with several high-profile clubs interested.
Recent reports have linked the former Leeds United talisman with several Premier League bigwigs. Saudi Pro League clubs like Al-Hilal are also keen on securing Raphinha’s services next year. But Manchester United might be the next destination for the under-fire Barcelona winger.

Reports from earlier this month claimed that Manchester United wanted to sign Raphinha in a swap deal involving the out-of-favour Jadon Sancho. But that might not be an option, with Sancho’s high wages making him a prohibitive target for Barcelona. Nonetheless, Manchester United will look to secure Raphinha’s services.
The right-wing berth has been a problem area for Manchester United for many years. Sancho and Antony have failed to become the long-sought solution for the position. So, Raphinha is a viable target for Manchester United heading into the January transfer window. But Barcelona will demand a premium transfer fee worth €100 million to part ways with him. That might be an issue.
While the Red Devils have not shied away from shelling out eye-watering sums on players, they are in a spot of bother on the financial front.
