Arsenal ready to trigger Goncalo Inacio release clause

Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing 22-year-old Sporting CP defender Goncalo Inacio, a target for Liverpool and Manchester United.

A report from Fichajes has claimed that Arsenal are willing to pay the €60 million release clause to sign Goncalo Inacio. The 22-year-old defender is on the radar of Liverpool and Manchester United as well.

Goncalo Inacio: Highly Sought-After in the Market

Goncalo Inacio has established himself as one of the best young defenders in Europe, and he could be a solid long-term acquisition for Arsenal. The reported €60 million release clause might seem like a premium right now. But the Portuguese international certainly has the potential to justify the investment in the long run.

The central defender is versatile enough to operate as a left-back, and he can be a quality asset for Arsenal in the coming seasons. The Portuguese defender is still only 22, and he will improve with coaching and experience. He could develop into a key player for Arsenal in the coming seasons. Inacio has all the attributes to grow into one of the best defenders in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Liverpool need to replace Joel Matip, and the 22-year-old would be an outstanding addition to their defensive unit. It will be interesting to see if they can compete with Arsenal for his signature. Inacio’s versatility will be an added bonus for Liverpool, who need more cover for Andrew Robertson as well. So, he has emerged as a viable target for the Merseyside club.

As far as Manchester United are concerned, Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane have been linked with moves away from Old Trafford. So, the Premier League giants will have to bring in alternatives.

The 22-year-old Portuguese defender would be a solid long-term investment for Manchester United. But they must look to secure Champions League qualification to attract a player of his potential. Inacio will be attracted to the idea of playing for the biggest clubs in England, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up eventually.

The young defender will want to join a club where he will be able to compete for major trophies. Arsenal and Liverpool can certainly provide him with their platform. Manchester United have the resources to compete for major trophies as well, but they will need to improve in the coming months.
